On a weekend, me and Nick drove 600+ miles to see Straylight Run and Something Corporate perform. We first drove to St. Louis where
we met up with Steph and friends to go see Straylight Run at Mississippi Nights along the river. We got there late so we missed the
first two cover bands, but we didn't mind. It was obscenely hot but it was so worth it. They were amazing live and we had a really
good spot on the floor. The band was great. I've never really noticed how pretty Michelle was. After the show, we all ran for the subway and caught
the last train back.
Me and Nick then left WashU early in the morning and headed out
for Valparaiso University in Indiana. About 6 hours later, we got to the school
and then sat in front of the school gym from about 2-6:30 until doors opened.
We were about two or three rows back from the stage. The crowd was crazy and it was
also hot as hell inside the gym. We were stepped on, body surfed over (someone kicked me in the head while
I was trying to take a picture), and bumped into. It was great, we were drenched in sweat (some of it ours). And...
and...and...they played Konstantine. It was out of this world. This girl next to me was sobbing and tears were
streaming down her face during the song. Best concert ever. Best band ever.
